Ah, yes... calm and restful by day, perhaps, but by night .......... ?

The wrought iron fence surrounding the property (not in the photo) actually has tiny skulls within the scrollwork. It's an interesting place, as well as beautiful. I apologize for the fuzzy photo.

Kay is it still lived in or a museum to tour through. I wouldn't mind doing a tour at night (so long as I had my torch)

When I was there, about 6 years ago, she did still live in it,but had other homes as well. We were doing a daytime walking tour of the Garden District, where the house is located, but it was not open to tourists. The walking tour was lovely, however. There are some beautiful old houses and mansions in that area of New Orleans.

I forgot to answer this question -- there is/was (?) a small Ann Rice museum/gift shop nearby, but not on the grounds of the home, and not owned/operated by Ann.

Anne has changed genres, hasn't she?

Yes, she has, much to my sorrow. I liked her vampires and witches. I do like her intellectual style of writing about them. I haven't enjoyed her later books as much, though I still admire her style of writing.

Thanks for the puzzle & the information, Kay! I've read a few of her books but many years ago before they started turning into films!
