MaeN all! What type of grevillea?! It lacks the pretty name many of them have!

Interesting photo, Kate. I have taken a few good photos of our red grevillea (practicing with F stops to better control depth of field). I don't recall the name of our species either. Beautiful flowering plant.

Strange looking plant. Looks like it's winding up to throw things, but I take it those are buds? Does it uncurl in the morning and curl up again at night? Like the sunflowers whose heads follow the sun?

Beautiful photo and plant, Kate. I had to know more, so I Googled it. I learned that there are more than 200 varieties, ranging in size from low ground cover to tall trees. Yours looks about like my hair if I let it dry naturally -- excpet my hair's not green (but it has been at various times in my life!).

Awesome thanks Kate, I love grevilleas as well as banksia's the native birds here love them as well. I once had a hedge of grevillea's just for their spikes to keep people from cutting across my lawn, it worked well

I too love Grevilleas and the Callistemons because not only are they wonderful for the birds (especially the honeyeaters) but also the small marsupials like Feathertail and Sugar Gliders. I have all in flower at the moment. I will have to get the time to upload some photos one days.

I've uploaded photos into my gallery, can someone tell me how I mark them for use in the puzzles?

Minnie, you have to submit the photos separately on a different page. Go to the Sudoku home page, and very near the top center, you will find in small type a link to submit your own photos for the puzzle. Click on that link. Just be sure that they are perfectly square and at least 350 pixels wide/high.

Hi Kay,

I've put some up, I wasn't sure if name was my real full name or my name as shown here... so I did one with real and the rest with Minnie... real name Vicki...
I'll see what happens.
Many thanks
Vicki
