Wolf, down from 101 (38.3 C) to 94 (34.4) in Tex.
A real cool spell.
This chopper likely carries trans-oceanic shipping containers from port to container ship.
Note the large space in the belly and the backward facing crane operators station in the cockpit.

Elvis is an annual visitor down under. He is a fire-fighting , water lifting, huge helicopter. Without him, and his cohorts, the victorian fires of 2009 would have been far worse.

Elvis scoops up water from lakes, dams, or the ocean and dumps it on bushfires to help put them out, and as Supergran says is a much appreciated visitor down here in the bushfire season!

Bush fires occur as regularly down here as they do in America. We now have more than one 'Elvises' of our own! That one was going to a fire north of our River place. In January 2009 we had 'Elvis' & another water bombing helicopter flying over our Sydney house, for a bush fire not very far away More...

Very educational set of comments and Kate, you are being too humble. In the US we use C-130s for fire supression. Ian flew 130s. Where are you, Ian? I hope you are in well health.
