Sorry about your new car...but I'm much more concerned with what your car did to that precious kangaroo. I hate whenever I have a close call with an animal on the road. I feel as though they are the ones whose territory is being reduced, forcing them onto roads.

Gee, the Holden operator's manual specifically states, "Take caution around kangaroos. They like to bound roight in front of you, mate."

Hope that roo had good insurance.
Or that he was quickly converted to sausage.

We seem to be a like minded group today. My first reaction was to comment...."But what did your two week old car do the kangaroo". I'm guessing that it couldn't be fixed.

Sad what happened to your car, but also sad what happened to the kangaroo. Trouble is animals don't know what cars can do, but we sure do.

I swerve for squirrels....can't imagine what you needed to do. Glad you and your family were able to walk away...ok, hope the roo was too!

My son swerved to avoid hitting a wombat on the road and the car rolled a couple of times, He was fortunate though, nobody was hurt, including the wombat, and a police car saw the accident. However, the car was a mess.

I once had a kangaroo jump a fence and land in front of my car, which was(legally)doing 110k at the time. There was simply no way to avoid it. It died. My car was out of action for a month. I expect roos in the evening, but not at 10.00 am. Unfortunately for wild animals (including people) cars can be a lethal weapon.

Why did you let a kangaroo drive your new car?
