As Dorthea said, nice composition. I'm wondering about the plant Dino calls a "cat tail"...it looks nothing like the plant called a cattail here in the States. It is neat looking, though.

Someday I'd like to see cattails in the doogwoods! Nice picture. Made more sense when I turned it right side up!

I agree with Heidi -- our US cattails are nothing like these in the photo. Good composition, all in all a good puzzle. Dino, I like these nature photos that you've submitted.

I think another name is bull rushes for the type of cattails we have here. Does that sound familiar to you Kay and Heidi? They are much larger too.

We get to learn so much on these pages. I don't know the botanical name for that grass. It is common to our coastal districts and we always called it cat's tails. My funniest experience with English language differences is when I said to a monk I was going to put on a skivvie to go our in the cold. More...
