I love puzzles like this--makes you see (and almost feel and taste) the details in nature that you might otherwise miss. Thanks for the photograph and the puzzle!

The colors and formations are breath-taking. Though this is (almost) in my back yard, I've never been to this cave. However, a friend took my husband and me to a TRULY wild cave a few years back. The entrance was a small hole you likely would never have noticed. (She said she normally wouldn't take More...

Great colors, but brings out my claustrophobia just looking at it! Which means it is an excellent picture.

I've been to Linville Caverns many, many times over the years, never tire of seeing them. There's a stream that is full of blind trout -- they've evolved without eyes due to the utter darkness in the unlit parts of the caverns. Cyn, I could never go into a cave that I couldn't stand up in -- just couldn't make myself!

Well, Kay, parts of Mud Cave (aptly named!) were huge rooms ... but Mother Nature didn't provide nice passages to all of them! I decided I would rather be on the cliffs than in the caves (though the caves have the advantage of being the same temperature all year, so there is no off-season (or time -- we went at night, since it's ALWAYS night underground!

Whow, TerrierCyn, you are very brave. I wouldn't do that or climb rocks as well. Great photo, Kay.

Wonderful photo, Kay! I figure the next time I drive south to visit my brother in Florida I should add time to visit various sites on the way down - so many tantalizing photos on this puzzle site! TerrierCyn, no matter how much you cajole me, I shall have to pass on slithery cave! I need to look More...

TerrierCyn - it's Organ Cave, in the southeastern part of WV, a cave where the confederates mined saltpetre during the war. If it's the way we saw it, just overlook the manikins dressed as soldiers (if you think they seem to be in high heels and look a bit delicate, they are - it's part of the charm, what the cave owners did on a budget to get this fascination attraction open!)
