Kate, I hope this beauty is still there, but I fear that it is not. On an ancillary note when Joplin, Mo was devestated by tornados and floods a few years ago, they were able to save an historic (many pipes and stops) organ.

Kevin, Christchurch Cathedral is being taken down as carefully as possible, some may say demolished but it is being done to preserve as many of its treasures as can be safely removed. I'm afraid that it becomes even less stable with each tremor. No-ones life should be put at risk to save "things" which when all is said and done can be replaced but the loss of a loved person cannot.
