dorthea - want one of mine? I'm so annoyed with my own 'adorable' cats (this baby in the puzzle is really cute!) - the two scheduled for the vets saw the cat carriers and scarpered this a.m. - had to cancel the appointment! I hate being outsmarted by cats!

And to Doug: dogs can be addictive, too -- even just having one certainly changes your life -- but mostly in such positive ways, which is why we put up with their foibles (and they with OURS). Adorable picture!

I had 3 cats who would sit around my mother's canary cage in the winter to 'help'keep him warm and purr along with his singing. Most people found it disturbing. Birds incages were not fair game. Later cats I've had used to have strange tastes in 'pets' of their own. But wouldn't have any of them any other way.

Simply adorable. I have seven, yes, seven cats, all colors adn ages. Can't live without them. Love dogs too, but cats are so much more independent...and each one with its own personality. This one looks very much like my Sebastian.

RIP all the birds and small mammals in Australia that feral cats are doing their best to wipe out.

Doug, from Sebring, FL - you could have been talking about my two - cats certainly have an exaggerated idea of their own importance, but of course, it's warranted, isn't it? We humans were put on earth to serve cats!! (This one's a real cutie, though.)

For people who dont like cats or think they are killers, yes they are killers. BUT it is the owners resposibilty to stop them from killing birds and wild life (not vermin). I have both cats and dogs (and horses) i would rather a cat over a dog any day they are so more inderpendant (sorry about the spelling)

Be sure to spay or neuter your beloved cats and dogs and keep them confined as well. That is the answer to the problems mentioned above. They give us so much, it's only fair we take responsibility for them!

Of course, we must be responsible for our animals. This is a tasks we are working hard here in Chile We have a new law against cruelty towards animals. Munciicpa governemnets are sterilizing and vaccinating pets for free and teaching people how to take care of them.
I sm an animal lover, I even like flies...
