Lost birds in the snow, ice breakers - what's happening? Today I planted 180 grape hyacinth bulbs and was snowed on - I guess THAT'S what's happening - winter!!! But what a wonderful ship, Robin!

This reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw in a climbing store: "My best vacation is your worst nightmare!" I've had friends who LOVED this vacation! I'd much rather do something like this than lie on a beach (well, maybe ONE day lying on the beach...)

Glad you got those bulbs in the ground, Joan! That's a lot of bulbs, even if they ARE small! Not fun on a cold, blustery day!

Robin the Intrepid -- not my cuppa, but what marvelous photos she took! Grape hyacinths are some of my favorite, old fashioned flowers, Joan -- I don't have that many, but they do make a nice show in front of the daffodils out front. C'mon spring!

Great to see we have some other intrepid adventurers among the crowd. No Ian, it wasn't rough. In fact, the crew said it was the smoothest crossing they had ever had! Weren't we lucky:) A boat that left a couple of days later took an extra 24 hours to cross between Argentina and the Shetland Island because it was so rough, so we were really VERY lucky!
