If they value their safety they should stay away from me and my house! I am quite irrational when I see an ininvited spider in my house

Mads, I felt the same way until I had to learn enough about them to teach an undergraduate Biology class. Now I find them fascinating, and living near horse country I welcome anything that helps reduce the fly population.

I thought this was to be a swarm of bees, which would have been bad enough, but spiders....!!

I know spiders have their place and eat those pesky little bugs that bite but they creep me out!! As long as they're outside, I leave them alone but if I find one in my house, I reduce the spider population.

Ditto whereizzy--our plumber told me the other day that red back spiders (nasty) are on the increase in our city at the moment because of the good rains this winter. I almost feel like using sprays on the outside furniture although I try not to use chemicals like those. So a photo of baby spiders does not please my soul!
