Hi Kate from Sydney, I just did another of your pictures of Sculptures by the Sea from today's kids Sudoku puzzles. Are all these sculptures permanent, or were they temporary installations? I've never been a huge fan of modern sculpture but most of these are wonderful. Are they scattered around Sydney's beaches or concentrated in one area? You have a wonderful eye for an intriguing pictures.

Hi Kay, The captain's quarters were in the stern where the vessel is wider and the windows would not be continually bashed by waves.

Wonderful photo & puzzle, thanks Kay. I'd agree with you surmises about it being the Capt's cabin & in the bow!

OK, is this snow we're looking out upon? Or am I nuts? Could be both, of course.

You're not nuts, Judy, but rest assured that it's not snow! It's just the glare of the sun on the water and shoreline, as seen from inside the darkish cabin on the ship. This photo was taken in summer.
