Tempting name for a cable car ride! Or does that refer to the scenery? Maybe one of our Canadian friends can fill us in!

Hi Gramma Linda,
It seems to be the air tram in British Columbia

see the link for information and maps.
I haven't seen it myself but it looks wonderful.

I guess somebody has to say that Sue has gone to hell(s gate) and back! Yep, and took pictures. Sue, you never cease to amaze, girl friend!

Wonderful thanks Sue. I've bookmarked that page for later perusal, thanks Colleen. There's another Hells Gate in NZ at Rotorua. It's the name of one of the stinky bubbly sulphur parks!

The Hellsgate Airtram takes you down into the Fraser Canyon to where the salmon go up the Fraser River to spawn. I believe it is where the ladders are for the fish to go up. Good picture Sue.

You're right Cheryl it is where the fish ladders are. Hell's gate is only about 120 feet across so you can imagine how much water is passing through. It is truly an amazing sight. It is on the Fraser River.

To ride in this vehicle, for me, would truly be Hell on Earth! (It's the height, not the vehicle.) Great photo, Sue, and a worthy puzzle.

Now I have a question: What could one expect the weather around Brisbane area to be like in late July? A friend will be visiting there and he hadn't thought about it being winter....

No Way José would you get me up in that!

I am not sure about the answer to your question Kay as I am from 'down south' where the weather in winter is COLD! But Queensland is tropical, and I think they refer to their two seasons as being the wet and the dry. Not sure when is when though. Try asking your question on the easy page of Sudoku.

Thanks for the suggestion, Gail. I have since gotten some first-hand info about the weather around Brisbane. I also got some about the weather in Sydney, and other locations! I appreciate the advice and will pass it on to my friend.

Kay, the biggest secret to the weather in Brisbane is what your used to. 22C in Canberra is nice but those in QLD fnid it freezing so depending on where your friend is from will assist in knowing what to pack. Sydney is cold and wet usually in July

Hi Kay
I am in Brisbane. July will be winter here. Lat year I use a polar type of sweater (called jumper in here)for early morning and evening and was fine... No need for jumper during the day, but who knows what it will be! you may want to check on ''brisbanetimes.com.au'' or ''www.truelocal.com.au/weather'' It may easier if you use ''google.au'' for your search. Good luck.
