When I first moved to Alberta from Winnipeg, Manitoba (aka "Winter"peg and the mosquito capital of the world), one of my colleagues, a former Albertan, told me that there were no mosquitoes in Alberta. He lied! Last night the temp dropped to -32.7C here so we're competing with Winnipeg More...

Awesome photo, Bev!! Sad that you get mosquitoes at all, let alone Winter & Summer! They're a fact of life in summer here, but rare in Winter - only if you get warm sunny days after rain & there are pools of water around!

Hi Kate, This picture was taken last July! Mosie's here spend the winter as pupae in ponds.
