I love cats, but kittens, like puppies - and children, grow up eventually and lose some of their appeal - except for Siamese cats who remain fun forever.

I've got an Abyssian (9 years) and Tonkinese (3 years), and they play all the time, the Abyssian is really good at hidings but sometimes misjudges his girth and tries to get into way too small boxes :-)))

I'm just happy to see an animal actually playing with one of those toys -- I can't tell you how many dollars I've spent on them just to see the cats turn up their noses (or hind ends). My favorite cat's favorite toy was a wadded up card, he could bat all over the place. They're great, aren't they!

Judy...same! We have bought a tunnel, tinkle bells, a scratch pole etc.
What does she love playing with the most?
The clear plastic security tops off water bottles and scratching the couch!

The only thing that my male cat will play with is pens and pencils. He will occasionally bat one off the desk or table, but does not pursue it further. My female cat will play with anything, everything, and things imagined -- except for cat toys that I buy. Her favorite thing is to chase the More...

My feral cats are outside practicing for the Olympics. They are so funny and all adults now but you would think they were kittens.
