You mean this is a WILD bird? I think it's checking for moving edibles below. Certainly is a bright, cheerful looking bird. Do they make a racket?

Great--we've got some lorikeets in our white mulberry tree right now--they are having a feast and it sounds like on--I've taken some shots from the ground (it's a BIG tree) so not as stunning as this photo but the bird surrounded by the green canopy is pleasant.
