Another pic from the Desert Museum? I love the hummingbird walk-in aviary there. One time I wore a bright red shirt and they kept dive-bombing me!

In Glendale, Az in grapefruit grove we would watch the hummingbirds build their nest and hatch babies. The babies were all skinny long beak hanging out of the next in a few days.

Don't ya just love hummers. But to see them you have to look fast. They are just fascinating and beautiful. When I put the feeders out they fight each other to run the other one off. I think they try and claim the feeder for their own, funny little things. January 29,08
