Looks like Impatiens to me! Member of the Balsaminaceae family. Other names I've heard them call are - Balsams & Busy Lizzies. I think there are a lot more common names!! One of them is something like Popper - because if you press the seed pod it pops & seeds go everywhere - probably a kids name for them!!! LOL!

The flower pictured, I think, is a Vinca Minor or Common Periwinkle. It is unpretentious but pleasantly beautiful in its simplicity.
