I would guess Boab was not a happy person! This tree reminds me of the Whumping Willow in the Harry Potter stories. Or one of the Hogswarts kids' science experiments. One more comment: And I thought I (!) was having a bad-hair day.

Ever since I was little I have been fascinated by the boab trees and it's capabilities to store things, the indigneous people have many uses for them.

I've never heard of a boab tree but it's very interesting. Looks like a good 'climbing tree' for kids!

I too am fascinated by the boab trees. They are awesome to see. This particular one is obviously dead! Apparently they hold water in their trunk and are related to the African baobab tree
