Interesting Shot, Kate. I wonder if the organ still functions. You do have to replace pipes, stops, etc. periodically to keep them functioning. I also wonder how many registers there are on the console. Two means small organ, three or more means big. Ihope you have more shots that come up. I love pipe organs.

Me too ,Kevin. I love pipe organs. We have several in Qc,. where I live. Tourists who come here, have them high on their lists of what to see .Gorgeous photo, Kate.

Thanks for the question, Kevin. It is a small church & the organ is small too & and as far as I know the organ still works, too! The organ didn't go in till sometime in the 1900s - small congregation & not enough money till then!

The organ brings back childhood memories. We had a similar one in the Church I grew up in. My Dad would periodically take down the pipes, pack them and ship them off to have them cleaned. That was in the late 50's. I'll never forget the day he went down into the organ pit and played 'Boogie Woogie' on the organ. I fully expected lightning to strike us.
