Yes, they are and nice looking feet at that! They could be mine except my 2nd and 3rd toes are longer than the big one. Also no bump on the right arch where a fat Shetland pony stepped and pivoted on my bare foot, messing up a bone and alerting me to the fact that boots, or at least shoes, are a good idea around horses. More than you needed to know, right?

Oh for the days when I didn't need orthotics and I could wear thongs (as we call them)--that was before the underwear 'revolution' of the 2000s, of course when other things were called thongs--but we still call the footwear that.

I once got a bad blister from thongs. The footwear, that is.

I've never been able to wear thong footwear either, or flip-flops as we call them. Besides the blister like Judy's, I can't stand anything between any of my toes.

I tend to live in flip flops in the summer, and either crocs or moccasins the rest of the time.... unless doing farm work. I like my feet as unrestricted as possible.

I hear you, Heidi, I just wear Keds or other mules outside and am barefoot year around in the house. I have some dressier shoes and some boots but you won't catch me in them unless it is absolutely necessary.
