Tough puzzle. When I opened it up, I thought the color coming into the pieces was taking too long-yeah, it never came-all white
 |  |
I don't know about anyone else, but I found this rather challenging.

Yoko, it is a photo taken during a flight over Antarctica. In many places the ice is over a mile thick with only the tips of the mountains sticking through. It is an awe inspiring part of the world.

Interesting puzzle. We had snow a couple times early and then nothing but spring like weather.
 |  |
Whew!! All that snow is very pretty and interesting...but, again, I prefer New Orleans.
 |  |
Whew, it turned out to be easier than I expected after reading the comments. Shades of white and grey.
Have a great day.

Ian, you are quite the traveller. Any upcoming trips planned? Love your photos
 |  |
Had to leave this till the morning. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Wonderful photo.
 |  |
Easier than I thought it would be, once I got the darker pieces sorted
 |  |
jj, I think my travelling days are over for the moment - unfortunately. But I still have a reservoir of interesting photos from the past that I am gradually introducing into the system.
BTW, where is cc?
 |  |
What a great puzzle to do. I'm with Granniemo. Did the darkies first. Thanks once again Ian.
 |  |
Very nice puzzle place. Where is the timer? Just like sudoku, would be nice.
 |  |
Likewise Deidre, I also left it until today. I did it from the white up and it probably wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
 |  |
Wasn't as hard as I thought, once the blue was done, the different whites just fell into place. I'm with you, Steve from Virginia, a timer would be nice!
 |  |
Looking forward to seeing more of your photos, Ian.
 |  |
Rob, the one on 'medium' sudoku sould please you.
 |  |
That 'sould' should read 'should', souldn't it?

Loved all of the variations in color and texture. Sorted the blues from the blacks, then the greys, tans, creams and pinks from the whites. Really interesting puzzle. (21 Apr'07)

Oops, the date should have read 21 Mar, not 21 Apr. Too early in the day for me to be thinking clearly.

Magnificent photo!
