Is this one of Ian's photos?
Lovely tranquil looking place.

Hi Anne, This is a beautiful picture, but I lost one puzzle piece. What a time I had finding it. Does this happen often?
 |  |
Lovely picture, Ian, thanks.

Ev, it is easy to lose a white piece. The way to find it is to wait until you get near to the end of the puzzle, say one or two pieces left, then if you click on one of the remaining pieces the missing one may show up. If it doesn't, then move the completed section across the board and try More...

Anne, it shows a part of the Hawkesbury River with the Blue Mountains in the background.

I am not much of a fishing person but I bet you could have heard the fish jumping and playing that morning.
Great picture Ian.

Ev, Ian's explaination works, but what you can't do is put all the pieces in ('cepting the missing piece) as you will not have an uncompleted piece to click.
 |  |
Ev, OK, my 'infallible 'system didn't work either. Sorry. but I lost a piece also. I found it eventually but as you say, it was hard work.
I should have answered your specific question with the single word 'occasionally'.
We live and we learn.

Ian, thanks for the answer to finding 'missing' pieces - this has happened several times to me, and I've only been doing these for almost two weeks. I feel really stupid because I've gotten so absorbed in the puzzle, my instinct is to look on the floor! You can tell I'm not a youth and was raised on cardboard puzzles!

Thanks Ian and Candace, for getting back to me. I cliked all over that thing, moved the picture everywhere, and finally I saw a tiny bit of pale blue peaking at me. What fun it is! I agree with you, Joan. I even want to pick the thing up as I know it's under there somewhere! Thanks for your advice. Have a great weekend.

What a lovely serene setting and, of course, a beautiful photograph!!!

Beautiful Ian, and another lovely stripey puzzle!

How lovely - wish I was there! GOod picture Ian!

I've usually been able to find the missing piece by clicking on the 'hole' when I'm down to one missing piece. Sometimes it takes more than 1 click and maybe in different locations in the 'hole'!

I'm with you Bluey, love the stripes, and especially when I do the puzzle in the 'hard' mode (actually, without stripes, I'm not sure I could let the pieces rotate!)
 |  |
My sincere thanks to each of you who appreciated my photo. It is indeed a lovely, peaceful part of the world - although, just after I took this photo the peace was shattered by an aluminium boat ('Tinnie') barrelling along the river. I have a photo of it somewhere.

When you first open this website the pieces are all over the place, it's as messy as a teenager's bedroom. So why not clean it up by making piles of similar pieces. Then you will never lose a piece again. Besides the pieces line themselves up for you.

You all are making me nervous...so far I have never lost a piece...I will read and read your remarks. Very easy puzzle, by the way, it would make a good medium.
