Talk about anything and everything, but place your comments in the right categories so that people on slow internet connections can still enjoy the site. Also, be nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

These birds are quite common around my neighbourhood, had 2 adults and 1 baby roosting in a front yard tree, it was a delight to have them around, and you can approach them easily, they seem rather unafraid of humans. Sadly, many are 'road kill' due to their penchant for chasing moths etc., shown in car headlights.

I forgot to mention before that these are nocturnal birds, during the day they roost on tree branches etc., where they blend in so well with their surroundings that you can be right next to them without really seeing them, although sometimes their big yellow eyes can be seen.
