I looked into this dogs eyes and it brought back memories of our faithful farm dog 'Laddie'. I remember the way he looked at me the day he died. I was so upset but still had to say 'goodbye' and go off to school. (All that back in 1950's)

Border Collie, my very favorite breed, and found to be the smartest of canines.
My oldest daughter has one of those "Austrailian" Cattle dogs. Large, quiet and with a marbled coat.
Border Collies herd instinctively, and ours even tried to herd birds when he was a young lad.
