Oops -- I left off the "g" on the end of "sharing." I found that the wattle is Australia's national flower. It's very pretty when in bloom!

The wattles when in full bloom are stunning, they are various shades of yellow, from pale to the most vibrant. Wattle season starts officially on 1 September so some photos may start to emerge then. The flower balls are small and very fluffy

There are a lot of wattle tree starting to be in full flower now. When I see a good one (and not driving) I will take a photo. Though I am sure there have been some photos posted before.

Thanks for the challenging puzzle. The Wattle also has a distinctive sweet smell when in flower as well.

Up until about 2 weeks ago we were having an unseasonably warm winter, which could be the cause of the wattles coming into season earlier than usual - I know our neighbours wattle is in flower, but they are already starting to die off.
