I though the puzzle was difficult, but what fun to put together my favorite animal of all time! I got to hold one last winter and such a cudddly darling!

Ian, is this a Photoshop composite, or is the Koala hanging in mid-air I'm completely befuddled! It's a great hard puzzle. Thanks for submitting it.

Sensational Ian. We sometimes had a koala take up residence in a gum tree in our front yard - not only kept you awake, it confused our cat when it ran across the lawn.

It would not be a composite. It is physically possible for it to be a Koala at Sydney Wildlife World at Darling Harbour - even though I have not yet gotten around to going there (its a relatively new attraction) I believe the buildings look like those on the western edge of the City of Sydney overlooking Darling Harbour. Koalas do climb the barest of branches if they so desire.

Finally! I see the koala!! I thought the koala was some kind of seed head on the silouette of a dead/dormant branch. At that point I was just glad the black thing wasn't a portion of a giant spider. Early bedtime for me tonight!

I have not yet been to the new Wildlife World either Kate, but am looking forward to it!
Ann, in NSW, only the keepers are allowed to actually hold the Koalas, but the public can pet them, but in Queensland the public are able to actually hold them for pics etc. Don't know how the rules are in other states, but they are certainly cuddly critters!

*BLINK* A light bulb just went on over my head. I see now that the Koala is perched on a bare branch. For some odd reason I was thinking that the branch was a long tail hanging down. That's silly, as Koala's do not have long tails, which I knew.

A college aged young friend of ours just returned from two weeks in Australia. He had some photos of himself holding a Koala -- or rather the Koala was hugging him it appeared -- and they are adorable. I've forgotten where he was at the time, but I will ask him again. I know that it was inside, not outside.

I wonder what this little guy is thinking. It is an incredible photo, for sure, Ian. You have a wonderful sense for making great photos out of what most of us would just look at, then walk away!
