I never see animals gazing with awe at a lovely sight like this, but I never tire of them. (Come to think of it, often humans are oblivious to such delights, too -- and these vivid colors only last a minute ... unless captured like this! Inspiring! (And, with the layers of colors, not too hard ... which is often a GOOD thing!)

This is a photo I took of a sunrise at Bronte some time ago, dunno what happened to the comment. As you said Cindy, the colours kept changing by the minute, so I was lucky enough to have a series of inspiring photos in my library. Bronte is just one of Sydney's fabulous ocean beaches.

That picture reminded me Ian, of the absolutely amazing sunsets we had here in the West for many months after a vocanic eruption in I think 1991 Mt Pintabo, I think.The sunsets over here, especially in the North/West are always pretty spectacular, but especially so in 1991.

Hi Liz, it's nice to hear from you. Boy, you're really up in the hot part of the country at this time of year. I hope you are comfortable.

Liz, I forgot to mention that I think you are correct. Mt Pinatubo erupted in June 1991 in the Philippines and the ash would have created some spectacular sunsets up your way. The North West is well known for spectacular sunsets at normal times - why don't you take a few photos and share them with us?
