Nothing beats mounted police when it comes to crowd control. Those horses are magnificent.... only the smartest, steadiest can qualify. Usually they are draft horse crosses, for size and calmness.

Heidi - you're so right. I was lucky enough to ride a retired police horse once - so responsive but as comfortable as sitting in an old armchair at full gallop too! Jubilee looks as though he's having a good conversation.

Hello all. It's good to be back, after a spell of being under the weather. Jubilee's partner (the one in the photo) adopted him, I believe. We have several police horses -- but none have served as long as Jubilee. We have lots of very narrow alleys in the historic district, and the horses are about the only practical way to police that area.
