This was taken at a Fish & Chips shop at Brooklyn. They had decorated poles in the outside area with small sculptures and this one was just asking to be photographed. The fish & chips were great too!

Shades of Ernest Hemmingway's "The Old Man and the Sea". Maybe this is what happened to the fish skeleton the old man ended up with??? Looks kind of stuccoed to me, if that's a word.

Interesting puzzle Ian. We used to go to Brooklyn quite a bit for lunch but have not been there for a while.

Joann, no it was not carved out of wood, it looked like it had been cast and then attached to the pole.

This sculpture, is my cup of tea as far as yard decor goes. I love the primitive style. If I were still working in clay sculpture I would make one for myself! Great photo and puzzle, Ian!

Brooklyn eh? Worth another trip up there. Some of hubby's ancestors (at least 2 x greats) are buried in the cemetery up there. We go occasionally to remove any young pine seedlings that might have taken root in an inappropriate place! Haven't been for a while ...
