Yes, it definately is a bit of a turn off to walk into the shops in October to be confronted with Xmas Displays. It is also shocking to see a sign displayed last weekend say '10 Weeks to Xmas'.

We also will be a bit hectic between now and Xmas, Debbie, with our niece's wedding, our 30th anniversary and hubby's birthday before the big day, which is at our place this year!! phew!! just typing it makes me exhausted!

I agree with Janet. My eldest son's birthday is the 10th December so we always waited till after that before we put up the Christmas decorations. Now his daughter's, my first grandchild, birthday is 17th December so we will wait until then to do the decorations.

Your not alone Maureen, because my daughter's B'day is Xmas Eve I pretty much leave putting up the decorations until about a week before. They come down after New Year too.
