It's a beautiful and imaginative photo, Kate. It's also beautiful, and a good puzzle! Thanks.

This photo reminds me how often I look at the flower when the individual petals are just as beutiful and unique.

Makes an interesting puzzle - never before thought so much of lights and shade on rose petals.

Not really.

A rose by any other name.....
A rose is a rose is a rose.

Kate and Gramma Linda: When I first started painting, I also started seeing things in a completely different way. I saw the individual leaves instead of "a tree." Lights and shadows became much more prominent, etc. I think this is exactly what you two are describing, in the new way that you see things after working the puzzles. It's a great experience!

Elizabeth, my hand is up. Thanks for the amazing shot Kate, I always enjoy it when someone looks at an everyday thing and puts a very different slant on it, makes life interesting

Kate, excellent photo and, yes, very hard but worth it. I know what you mean by developing the "artist-eye" perspective, Kate. Since I started painting, everything looks clearer and I appreciate the beauty of the planet and all of creation.
