This was especially fun because I was born and raised in St. Louis. Yes, Busch Stadium was used for baseball. I grew up on the St. Louis Cardinals, but,oh my, how things have changed!

Hi everyone, I have been enjoying these puzzles for several months and I just joined. I'm a big baseball fan, and I just want to clarify that this is "New" Busch Stadium, opened in April 2006.

Thanks Nancy and welcome - I'm sure you have noticed there are several here from NC. Thanks for clarifying the New - wasn't sure what year they opened and I have not been there yet.

Welcome, Nancy. It's always good to have another North Carolinian here. This is a great photo. I've always been a baseball fan, but haven't seen much of the major leagues -- only the Phillies and the Mets. I love the Little League games too -- they can be just as exciting as the big guys.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I have been admiring the vision of the photographers who contribute. Hoping some of it rubs off on me!

What a friendly group of people! But then, I've never known a grump or pessimist who was good at puzzles. This made a great puzzle, too.

Three excellent photos! Congrats, Sue! What sort of hat will you select (for your "hat trick" award)? The photos from the wedding in England showed several styles -- one was all butterflies. Oh, my! Nancy, welcome, indeed! This is a very nice place to.... hang your hat.

My curiosity has gotten the best of me.... What is this "hat trick" award? Is it an honorary award that one gets for having submitted all three photos that are used for puzzles on the same day?

Oh boy, that one took some doing!
A 'hat-trick' is a term used in the game of cricket when a bowler gets out three batsmen on three consecutive bowls. It is also a term used in other sports.

Wow, Gail, I didn't know "hat trick" was used in cricket -- I know it from ice hockey where, again, three goals must be scored in one game. We have such fun educating ourselves!

Thanks Gail. I must admit that I'm very ignorant about the game of cricket, except that I know that it can go on for hours and hours, and they actually take tea breaks! I also don't know much about hockey, Judy. We didn't have it here in the south when I was growing up, and I never got interested later on. Now I've learned an additional use for the term "hat trick."
