Thanks everyone! I haven't been there yet! My husband went in 2003 with 3 mates & they walked the Larapinta Trail. I think the photo was taken from Mt Sonder looking back where they've walked!

Oops slip of the finger - 2002 not '03. It was his & one of the other's 50th birthdays that month & they celebrated on the top of Mt Sonder with a bunch of German tourists who happened to be there at the same time!!

Those look like very old mountains, as mountains go, with the rounded peaks. It's a very pretty shot, and the colors are both rugged and tranquil. Thanks, Kate.
