It's a beautiful photo, thanks Ian & a great puzzle, Gath. But these monstrous marinas are popping up everywhere. If the wealthy get there way there'll not be much foreshore left in Sydney Harbour, or Port Stephens & many other places as well! Sorry everyone!! Just a pet hate of mine!

I so agree with Kate. It seems that every square inch of waterfront land here is either turning into marinas for the rich and not-so-famous, or it's being developed into condos and outrageously expensive home sites. It breaks my heart to see so much progress.... 4/10/08 Thursday

It has already hapened on Cape Cod. The wealthy have taken over prime spots along the coast. For the sixty mile lenth of our peninsula all surrounded by water, very little of it is government owned and used by the public. It is so sad. I remember Cape Cod when I was a child (some 60 years ago), that was pristine beauty.
