I'm looking at putting one of these in our garden but also stuck on sambucus nigra 'Black Lace'. Birds or Butterflies, which one will win? Maybe if enough things die as my husband steps on them painting the fence I can put in both.

Beautiful flower. I have a question. I was going to submit a couple of photos, but they are too large of a file (over 50 kb). I guess I took them on a high resolution. Is there anyway to reduce the size of a file?

Aaah, beautiful budleia, so fragrant & pretty in the garden, but don't let it escape. Once it gets into the bush it's like a bull in a china shop, it takes over!!

Sharon, you might have a compression program with your camera softwear which you can use. Ian's more au fait with these things so once he sees your query you'll get a very good answer! It took me a long time to get the size right & I'm still waiting for the pictures to appear. Until then I won't know if I did it correctly!!

Sharon, there are many ways of reducing file size but it depends on which programs you have on your computer. I tell my computer to prepare the photos for transmission as attachments to emails and that usually gives me something about the right size. Have a look at the programs you have, use More...

Sharon, I should have added - always make a duplicate of your master photo before you start experimenting, then if you muck it up you can still fall back on the master.

Ian, thanks for the advice. I tried a couple of things, but the smallest I could get was 70kb. I'll look again tommorrow, when I'm not so tired.

Yeah!! I figured it out. The picture doesn't look as good, but it worked. Hopefully, it will get shown on the puzzles.

I wish my butterfly bushes were that nice!!! Maybe this year....

Sharon - great!!! Unfortunately they sometimes loose a bit of detail in the compression, but there's not a lot you can do about it. Good luck. I look forward to seeing your photos, but it may take a couple of weeks before they show up.
