I expect that's water currents I see, yes? I don't see that either, I'm surrounded by lakes, albeit the Great Lakes, but they're not oceans.

Beautiful - a bit of interest - the largest distance between land outcrops / islands across Bass Strait is 20 nautical miles. (my older brother has sailed to Tasmania a few times)

I wonder how Cape Liptrap got it's name? Is there an interesting story behind that? Great photo, and the puzzle was fairly easy. I worked in layers from the bottom up.

Wonderful photo & puzzle! Thanks to whoever submitted it. If you go to http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/1park_display.cfm?park=84
you'll get a lot of information! It's in Victoria, and there's a ship wreck, plane crash, Lighthouse all sorts of interesting stuff - some of it may not be on that site but if you just google - Liptrap Victoria Australia - the other stuff'll come up!

That is my photo, and Cape Liptrap is a beautiful spot to visit. These days you have to keep to the paths but when I first went there you could climb down a steep track to the beach.

It was indeed a very calm day. If you look carefully you can see a motor boat which gives some idea of height and distance.
