Does not look dull or dun but is definitely a homestead. Nice sky too. Thanks Ian.

I found this challenging. What is the story behind this place Ian?

Greg, Dundullimal is an early colonial homestead near Dubbo in western NSW. It is a well-preserved example of early colonial times. It is reputed to be the earliest surviving example of a slab-sided. It was built around 1840. More info at

Maureen/Dubbo very kindly showed us around during our visit last year.

A bit more sunlight would have made the photo more interesting (and, I suspect, the jigsaw less challenging).

Thanks Ian, Dundullimal was closed when we were in Dubbo a couple of months ago. I would have loved to have gone through as it reminds me of the home I grew up in, which was also partly slab sided and built about 1840 (or earlier).
