If that's Hong Kong, why is the advertising in English? That's almost as bad as going from the U.S. to Melbourne, New Zealand and eating at McDonalds!

I can't tell one city from another, anyway. They all look like too many big buildings, too much pavement, too much smog and not enough green.

Doesn't Appear to be many cars but look at the buildings all crammed together. I'm with you Heidi, I come from a big city but now in a town still with lots of trees and green - albeit it is growing fast - too fast. Good picture all the same Ian and good puzzle.

Ann, Hong Kong was for many years a British colony and most people spoke English.
Heidi, if you look at page 8 of my Flickr photos, one photo in particular called 'Hong Kong is a Very Vertical City' will give you an idea of the congestion.

Never seen a two storey tram before - thanks Ian.

It was riding in one of these trams about 18 years ago when I first heard a mobile phone ring. That sound is no longer a novelty.
Great photo Ian.

I'm with Heidi on living in a city. Too many hard edges and not enough soft ones. I like to see the horizon now and then. I like going to the city for theater, concerts, etc. but I don't waste time getting away again!

I'm with the general consensus, I like my trees and greens too much to be in a big city for long, I always seek out the parks etc for meditation.

I hope all of you are contributing in some way to slowing down population growth. From what I read and observe, there are too doggone many people and those people are having people. How near are we to the tipping point?

Judy, the Creator has it all planned. I am one of ten children and I only had one child. I only have two sisters left and one had no children. We come and we go. If you look at a satellite view of the Earth you will see that most of it is uninhabited. There is room for everybody yet we cluster ourselves tightly together and complain when we bump elbows.
