Talk about anything and everything, but place your comments in the right categories so that people on slow internet connections can still enjoy the site. Also, be nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

There must certainly be a big difference between high & low tides - you wouldn't want to be late getting back to the harbour & missing the tide - you'd be stuck out at sea for hours obviously.

Our local boaters would have a fit with tides that low! I guess the folks in Hall's Harbour are used to it, and compensate somehow. It was a fun puzzle.

My Father told us (100 yrs ago) they used to use oxen to pull the boats in to unload them. He was born in Yarmouth, NS in 1892. Now the fishing industry is almost non-existant, as is he in this linear lifetime anyway.
