Great puzzle. Is it your photo, Julie? The rose almost looks like one of those paper poppies that the American Legion gives out for donations in the US. I've never seen a rose quite like this, and love the fuschia color with the bright yellow center. Interesting!

LOL, Elly! This DID look intimidating, but wasn't as bad as I feared. Even the white had subtle shades, and once the border was done, the rest went pretty quickly for me. It's not a flower I'm familiar with, but a lovely color and pattern!

I just did, Judy. I read that the Rock Rose is not really a rose, but a flowering shrub called a
Cistus. One site calls it the "bargain bin" shrub. The blooms are about 1" in diameter, and open in the morning and close in the afternoon. They grow naturally in some areas, apparently quite vigorously.

I reckon the flowers are a bit bigger than that.
You see them a lot up my way because they are water friendly, do not need much once established.
