I love shamrocks with their dainty, pink blossums. They are such neat looking plants.

I just learned something! I didn't know that Shamrocks HAVE flowers. And lovely ones at that. No wonder the Shamrock is so favored by the Irish.

I wish my Shamrock was pink. My flowers are white. I planted mine in an old tea kettle and have it in my garden. It is doing beautifully. I will be bringing it in soon to see if I can keep it alive over the winter.

We have zillions of squirrels on our deck too, along with many birds and many, many Carolina Chameleons. The birds like to drink rainwater from a huge knothole in one of the deck boards (I've forbidden my husband to replace that board). The squirrels eat the seeds from green longleaf pine cones, and leave a huge mess!
