Talk about anything and everything, but place your comments in the right categories so that people on slow internet connections can still enjoy the site. Also, be nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

After several years of band practice, I can see where one would want to 'hang it up' and stop that awful noise that is created on the way to making music.

Wendy, it was hanging in the foyer of a smallish theatre in Woburn Sands, UK. My wife's brother took us to see a performance by Pam Ayres.

I love it. I think it is great when someone finds something useful to do with an old object. Recycling at its best.

A bit more information on that Tuba.It was a decoration left over from a previous concert celebrating the works of Gerard Hoffnung. He was a multi talented and extremely humorous man. Worthwhile looking up on Google. As a musician he played the Tuba, hence the decoration.

I'm a year late but had to laugh at John's comments. Both of my children are middle school band directors
