About 200 of the 900 bulbs I planted this fall were crocus! Sue, these are lovely. They are especially wonderful because they multiply and naturalize any area in which they are planted.

Sue for the darling little crocuses. Vici, you must be very agile. Every fall I want to plant more bulbs but I'm afraid if I get down on my knees I won't be able to get back up! The old grey mare just ain't what she used to be!

I'm with you, Shar - but this old gray mare did get on those knees and plant those 180 grape hyacinth bulbs ( they can be planted pretty shallowly, thank heavens), and got soaked but did finish - there is something to be More...

I wont get on my knees to weed or plant anymore, but I will if I have to for a photograph, even if it takes me a while to get back up!!!

It's barely winter (technically, just late fall!), but it seems we are all already longing for spring! Joan, pretty soon the ground will freeze and it will be too late to even THINK about putting in more bulbs! Though if you can still find some, they will likely be a bargain! Planting bulbs is like planting hope!
