Good Maen, everyone. Wagdy, this is a most interesting photo! I'm not sure what the bush is, but the windy, curvy branches are beautiful, and the foliage has been sculpted by the ocean breezes. Great photo!

Diane, I wondered if it was that greasewood that can be so dangerous! This would have been a challenging "hard" puzzle, Wagdy, with all the foliage and those twisted branches! Kay, wonderful description of those features!

What a lovely gnarly bush. The garbage can is a nice touch too.

It looks very similar to our yaupon bushes on the east coast. According to my Web sources, Yaupon does grow on the California coastal region. The constant ocean breezes give it the low, rounded profile and bend the branches around, keeping it low to the ground. I can't identify it for sure, but that's my guess.
