Talk about anything and everything, but place your comments in the right categories so that people on slow internet connections can still enjoy the site. Also, be nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

Interesting name; is this area a campsite to break away from city life? Or did some past event define its name? Sunrise certainly emphasizes the gold hues of the area, providing an ispirational start to the day. Thanks for the photo!

Wilodene--you made me think about why it is called that-- 70 million years ago this was an inland sea--and some of the land mass has 'broken away' from the sea bed and risen vertically. That's the more technical response.

But like you all I too respond to the landscape--it's just north of More...

My husband and I have been watching a tv series about the national parks in the US. All were made into parks because of their breathtaking beauty and uniqueness. I'd say this area would qualify! Is it a national park or is it privately owned?
