everyone. The fragrance of this flower woke me up this morning... Remember how they made such a gorgeous wrist corsage... Ah memories...

Beautiful staging! My gardenia bush is in full bloom, so when they come in the house, so do their ants. A small enough price for the fragrance.

I personally love black & white photos. Hard to believe but I don't have this flower.

Beautiful. With my two brown thumbs, I'd kill a Gardenia so fast it would be scary. That would NOT be fair to the Gardenia.

That's mine! I left my name off, sorry. Sue they are beautiful. That one is a Gardenia Jasminoides & originally came from China. With all the wonderful flowers you grow already I'm sure one would grow. They like conditions similar to Camellias.

Heidi, I am like you - two brown thumbs. Every time I plant a Gardenia it dies!

I also usually kill off gardenias with regularity but, fingers crossed, the current one has survived two seasons!!

A photo with beautiful contrasts! I've never tried a gardenia. I mostly just put the seeds or seedlings in the ground and wish them luck. Whatever thrives I try to get more of the next year - if I can remember what I planted...

Absolutely beautiful!! A late hail storm nearly put my bush under for the year, but it's recovered nicely and is putting on buds now. I can hardly wait. :>)

Heavenly to look at and glorious to smell -- a wonderful specimen, Kate -- thanks for sharing it! Hope everyone's garden grows well this year.

We have about six gardenia plants out front of the house, that came with the house when we bought it. We really do nothing to them, and they seem to thrive. We've been here for 11 years and the gardenias are still beautiful every year. They get only morning sun, and not much, but I don't know it that makes a difference.
