Good Maen, everyone! Great photo, Kate. Were these guys your next meal??? I'm guessing that these are what we call simple "blue crabs" here in SE USA? I love'em after they're cooked, but am a little squeamish about handling the live ones.

I have 8 crabs chase me around the kitchen one Memorial Day. My brother in law just dumped a bag on the kitchen floor and told me to cook them. Of course he did it himself after I got up on a chair. These were the San Francisco kind.

lOVE THEM! My mother could make the best deviled crabs. An old Charleston cookbook advised "They got to crawl in the pot." ie: they must be boiled live, don't eat crabs already dead.

Those blue legs are really interesting. I bet they taste good.

The one belly up looks already dead.

Yum yum yum! Thanks Kate, I'll have a couple. I love blue crabs better than Lobster.

LOL, Sis Emma. That's why I don't cook them myself -- but I'll eat myself silly when somebody else cooks 'em!

Hi all! there are photos on the Easy for the last two days now!

That must be the fastest I've had a photo appear - I only posted it yesterday!! Glad you all like it! They tasted good! We put them in the fridge for about half an hour & they go to sleep, then we cook them - seems less traumatic for them & us that way, rather than putting them straight into boiling water! I make a lime chilli mayonnaise to have with the crab meat.

Hi Gath,
Just sent you 4 images as tough....
Thanks Kate, I would love some "Shecrab Soup" right about now.

Sorry, but they look too much like spiders for me to want to eat one. I feel the same about lobsters - too many legs! I prefer my meat to have had four legs with a hoof on the end of each.

Didn't I feel silly saying 'blue swimmers' then looking at the caption! Oh well, got it right.

I think I hold the current record, Kate! Yesterday's new Easy picture I had posted at 1am on the same day!

Actually no, on second check, I concede, YOU hold the record since the retrospective photo on the Easy of Wednesday must have also have been submitted either late on Wednesday or Early on Thursday so you are the only person to have a photo appear 'before' you sent it! I made that record by an hour, but you hold it by nearly a day!
