Don't think I'd enjoy standing too close to that rock!! But I would like to see it - quite spectacular!!

This whole area in which this is located is neat.

One of the problems of these unusual formations is that eventually nature takes over. There was a sandstone formation along the Victorian coast called 'London Bridge' which collapsed fairly recently and now it is 'London pile of rubble'. Fortunately nobody was standing on it when it fell. Good photo.

Wow, that's a good balancing act.

That is awesome...I would only view it on a day when not a breeze is blowing...better yet, I will just look at this picture.

Just simply awesome! I agree with all the above.

Great photo and act of nature, but I was wondering if it has been reinforced to preserve it from toppling?

Amazing.

Wow. I agree with Pat, I'll watch from here.

Hello all. Great picture. Some fabulous rock formations over in the old USofA! This isn't really Maureen, it's Kate /Sydney on M's computer in Dubbo!!
 |  |
Maureen, I think you should know that there's someone impersonating Kate on your computer.

'And for my next trick...' says Nature.

I'm amazed that I've never seen photos of such a phenomenon like this in the US! Never heard of it, either. I wonder how it would withstand one of our Cat.5 hurricanes??? (Not that it will ever have to.) I really want to go see this from a distance. 4/2/08

There's another one on the east coastline of Digby Neck in Nova Scotia called Balancing Rock. It is just as ominous and wonderful.
