God's eye?

What an unusual picture - I'm guess it is from outer space, but would like to know more.

I thinks this is the first time I have been 2nd on the site - yee haa.

Well, I am third again...can't seem to get up any earlier...what a fabulous picture.

This picture is clearly from outer space. NASA has a web site where it features a Astronomy Picture of the Day. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this photo didn't come from this site.

The image depicts the so-called Helix Nebula, described by astronomers as 'a trillion-mile-long tunnel of glowing gases.' At its center is dying, Sun-like star which has ejected masses of dust and gas to form tentacle-like filaments stretching toward an outer rim composed of the same material. The Sun itself may look like this in several billion years.

Somehow the scientific details and description seem to detract from the simple beauty. Ahh

I think the science makes it more beautiful.

Hi to all! This picture is now the 'eye of a sudoku puzzle'.

From what I have read about this picture it is not real.

I think it is the eye of a very black cat with cataracts.

I have had this emailed to me a couple of times and it is beautiful isn't it. Called eye of God by a person but sometimes it is nice to be reminded of how awesome GOD is

Yep, it's certainly not a nebula, or anything from outer space. ....Or is it?
