Good Maen everyone. We're having torrential rains this morning, desperately needed so I won't complain. I'm going to have a while I finish today's puzzles. Dino!

What lovely patterns. Reminds me of our local birch trees.

Envy you, Kay. All we've gotten so far, since last night, is about .3 of an inch. I do hope we get more. So far, we've only had about one and 3/4 inches since March.

Isn't that amazing that the rains could be dumping on NC and keeping far, far away from SC! No fair, as we used to say.
Dino, you find the beauty in everything. Thanks for a lovely nature study.

Judy, Sis Emma is in northwestern SC, and I'm in the southeastern tip of NC, so we're really far away from each other. The rain was fast and furious here, gone already. Still, it will be good for the numerous flowers and shrubs that we (my husband) planted this week.

Hi Kay, Sis Emma & Judy - so jealous of your rain...we are in dire need of some!
Dino - such a lovely eye for art in nature - thank you!

Interesting picture Dino. What type of tree is it? It could be related to the birch trees we have here in Canada.

Hi Greg, I'm pretty sure it is an eucalypt of some sort, possible a 'Spotted Gum', but they are quite difficult to identify from the bark alone.
Nice photo dino.

I love running my hands over the bark of different eucalypts to feel the different textures, especially the scribbly gum

Ian, you are probably right. The photo was taken in the Moe Botanical Gardens. What I see and what I remember are two different things.

As my Granny used to say, I've reached the point where I can hide my own Easter eggs now.

Judy, this part of SC, the Upstate, has been on extreme drought conditions all summer, Most of the upstate , the ground water is short about 11 inches This rain we're getting now form FAY is truly a blessing, but not expected to end the drought. Not Fair is an apt expression.

How lovely dino. Most interesting, unlike any tree I've ever seen.

Eucalyptus trees are so lovely. My favourite is the ghost gum - pure white trunk.

Sis Emma, I'm happy that you're getting some rain in your beautiful, lovely state. I knew that Georgia was suffering a drought. You just don't connect those kinds of conditions with states on the seacoast, but anything is possible any more, as we keep seeing.
Dino, I love your photography -- More...

Also, Dino, you're a very nice man! Yes, and Ian, you are as well -- in fact, we have some real gentlemen in our midst in sudokuland. It's true!

PARDON MY FOX PAW! Dino is a woman I've been told by both Heidi and Ian. Dino, dear, I know you'll forgive me. Namaste.
